The Shanty Mountain Bards are Rod Baggett, Robbie Merchant and Heather Grove. They have been performing and leading vocal gatherings together for many years and have been featured at the KVMR Celtic Festival and the WorldFest with their previous bands Sierra Capella and Harmony Happens. They regularly lead “The Foundry Sings” at the Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City and perform in various individual music projects including the Music in the Mountains choir and the KVMR Women Making Music series. Come raise a pint and lift your voice with them on Saturday during a lively set of traditional songs at O’Dea’s pub. On Sunday, come join them at the Ponderosa Hall and experience the joy and creativity of singing melodies and exploring harmony on pub songs, sea shanties and other traditional selections from Ireland and Scotland.
